Composition
Types C-44 and C-48 are nickel ferrites with zinc substitution. Types C-145 and C-148 are magnesium manganese ferrites with zinc substitution. Only choice oxides are used in the formulations.

Characteristics and Applications
The nickel zinc materials are useful at Ku-band and higher frequencies. At lower frequencies the nickel zinc ferrites find use as a load in electrically controlled ferrite switches or attenuators.

The magnesium zinc materials find application at frequencies above X-band. They are used in many types of non resonate devices as well as for digital components.
